Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born April 28th, 1967) was an American actress and singer. Wuhrer began her career as she was a teenager. Her most well-known role is for her character Maggie Beckett on the TV show Sliders and also in the role of the character of Sheriff Samantha Parker, in the horror-comedy film Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer was born in Brookfield Connecticut as her mother was Karin Noble who was employed as a pay clerk as well as German American Andrew Wuhrer. There are three of her siblings. While she was a kid she sang in clubs and went out to sing. When she began studying acting at Wooster School at the age of 13, she pursued a degree in drama at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts located at Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. Then, she took classes in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under the renowned Uta Hagen. Born in Brookfield on April 28, 1967. Her German-American father is an auto dealer as well as a police agent. Kari has three brothers and sisters. As a teen, Kari performed in nightclubs by going away from home. Kari began acting at the Wooster school at the age of 13 and then went into drama school at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Columbia University Marymount Manhattan College as well as the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art under renowned Uta Hagen. Kari started acting when she was in her teens, her first break on television coming in 1987's MTV Remote Control.
