Julia Ormond

JuliaOrmond was the daughter Josephine Lab technician, and John Ormond (a stockbroker) who lived in Epsom, Surrey. She is the second child of five children for her parents. Her first appearances in Guys and Dolls and My Fair Lady attracted attention. Then she attended Cranleigh School and Guildford High School. After a year in arts school, she transferred to Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art where she graduated in 1988. Ormond first appeared on British television in 1989's series Traffik. The series was centered on the illegal heroin trade, from the far East to Europe. Ormond was the heroin addict daughter of the main character who was a Home Office minister who was involved in battling heroin imports. It was the first time Ormond had a role and received a fawning review.
